THE MOTIVATION SERIES: The Strong Woman

THE STRONG WOMAN

"The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground..."
---Gen. 2:7

"Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken
out of the man, and he brought her to the man."
---Gen. 2:22

Let us consider the stuff that man & woman are made of and what implications it has on each one. Some of the definitions of dust and rib are mentioned below.

MAN(dust)::::
- (figurative) Something worthless.
- (figurative) A low or mean condition.
- (mathematics) A totally disconnected set of points with a fractal structure.

WOMAN(rib)::::
- Any of a series of long curved bones occurring in 12 pairs in humans and other animals and extending from the spine to or toward the sternum.
- A part or piece, similar to a rib, and serving to shape or support something.
- (nautical) Any of several curved members attached to a ship's keel and extending upward and outward to form the framework of the hull.
- Any of several transverse pieces that provide an aircraft wing with shape and strength.
- (botany) The main, or any of the prominent veins of a leaf.

From the comparisons above it's quite clear what God really wanted the woman to be. Apostle Peter referred to the woman as the 'weaker vessel,' true, but the woman is really the strong one who isn't supposed to show that strength in the open. A woman's strength is hidden. It's inside of her. A 'weaker vessel' indeed can not be a Proverbs 31 woman.

Whereas the man may be seen as the very glorious pillar holding the home, the woman is indeed the foundation stone holding the pillar and as well providing the main support: Remember that man was made from dust and dust needs support to stand. 'The Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.'

Today, if you are a woman, you are made of rib, you are made of bone, you are made of something strong. You're the strongest and best support ever made on earth. The beauty is important, but the character of support is most important. You might be called a weaker vessel, but regard it as figurative. The real woman is a strong woman. She is a Proverbs 31 woman.
