THE MOTIVATION SERIES: Aim, shoot and keep shooting!

2 KINGS 13:15-19
As a matter of fact, we all have different needs and wants in life but we are almost always weak that we easily give up on those goals, expectations and wishes.
Joash, the king of Israel needed to defeat the Syrians. He turned to Prophet Elisha who told him,
“…take a bow and arrows.”
So he took himself a bow and arrows.
Then Elisha said, “…put your hands.” The king put his hands. “Open the window eastwards” and he opened it.
Then Elisha said, “Shoot,” and he shot. Elisha declared, “…the arrow of the Lord’s deliverance and the arrow of deliverance from Syria, for you must strike the Syrians until you have destroyed them.”
Then he said, “take the arrows,” so he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, “strike the ground.” Joash struck thrice and
stopped. The prophet was angry with him and said,
“You should have struck five or six times, then you would have struck Syria till you have destroyed it. But now you will strike Syria only three times.”
What are you asking God to do? Save your family? Provide finances? Save someone you love? Help you break a habit? Succeed in school and career???

WHAT NEXT?
Find out what God has promised you in his word and use those promises like arrows. Aim them at the problem, shoot and keep shooting until God moves on your behalf.
If this story teaches you anything, you’d also learn that in some of life’s situations, faith and persistence do not only determine your victory, but also the extent to which you win.
So aim, shoot and keep shooting. Do not stop!!!
