A lot has happened on earth that came as a result of jealousy. When a man is not contented with himself, he becomes jealous & envious leading ultimately to hatred.
One major reason why people are not contented with themselves is that they see life as a competition where they are competing to out-smart the 'whole world' so that they will be revered, respected & honoured. They just want to be seen
as the "Lord Emperor," the high & mighty one.
Apostle Paul says he has learnt how to be satisfied with the things he has. This is not to say that he doesn't work hard to achieve more, it's just that he understands that at every given time, "what he has achieved is what he has achieved," so he needs to celebrate his victory & thank God for it. This way he would have a greater course to achieve more & once you are thankful in the little you have achieved you will always be contented & you will ultimately be happy.
Remember that Godliness & Contentment is great gain. Learn Contentment and be thankful always even for the little you have.
